Is using excess power from your solar system for mining #Bitcoins worth it? When you are grid connected, you usually get paid when you feed power back to the grid. Not much, but you get some money for it. However, what do you do when you are #offgrid , like I am? Excess energy is plentiful in summertime and either your system turns off when the battery is full, or you have something which needs a lot of energy and dump it there. Of course, there is hot water, pool pump or an EV which use some power too, but at some point, these loads are all satisfied as well.
