The recent discovery of Bitcoinâs Whitepaper in every copy of macOS has sparked speculation. Of course, Nakomoto is the pseudonym for the mysterious developer â” or developers â” of Bitcoin, who published âA Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash Systemâ in 2008, and get this: he disappeared from the internet around the time Jobs passed away. Now, Jobs wasnât an expert programmer ⦠as far as we know, and he more than had his hands full developing the iPhone around the time Bitcoin debuted, so thereâs reason to be skeptical. And of course, itâs totally possible someone at Apple who loves Bitcoin just slipped the Whitepaper in as an Easter Egg.
